So, I went on this epic adventure to Vietnam and Thailand earlier this year, and let me tell you, it was amazing. I met some awesome people along the way who quickly became my travel buddies. We were inseparable – grabbing meals, having drinks, and doing all sorts of fun stuff together. It felt like we would be friends forever.
Fast forward six months, and here we are, all back to our normal lives. We still keep in touch, but it’s not the same as when we were living it up abroad. Some of my friends take ages to reply, while others barely respond at all. It’s like our conversations have lost their spark, and it bums me out.
I get it, everyone’s got their own thing going on now – work, family, responsibilities. I don’t blame them for being busy. But it’s just sad how quickly those strong bonds we formed on the road seem to fade away once we’re back home.
Has anyone else experienced this? It was my first time traveling solo, and I was really hoping to make lasting connections. But hey, that’s life, I guess. Gotta cherish those memories and keep on adventuring.
